Who is responsible for your information
N.H. Buchanan, operating URL Be Fine, is the controller of the personal information described in this notice.
Contact: hello@urlbefine.co.uk
Information I collect
When you send an enquiry, I collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, public website address and message.
If you become a customer, I may also collect project correspondence, access details you choose to provide, service records, invoices and payment records. Please do not send passwords through the website enquiry form.
The website host and email services may record limited technical information, such as an IP address, date, time and delivery or security logs.
How and why I use it
- To review and respond to your enquiry.
- To provide a quote and take steps you request before entering a contract.
- To deliver and manage agreed services.
- To keep the website and enquiry route secure and prevent misuse.
- To keep financial and business records where the law requires it.
I normally rely on steps taken at your request before a contract, performance of a contract, legitimate interests in running and securing the business, and legal obligations. I will ask for consent before sending optional marketing.
Who receives it
I only share information where it is needed to run the service. This may include the website host, Resend for form email delivery, my email provider, payment and accounting providers, professional advisers, and authorities where disclosure is required by law.
I do not sell personal information.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, I use providers with appropriate contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that do not become customer work: normally up to 12 months after the last contact.
- Customer, contract, invoice and payment records: normally up to 6 years after the work or financial year ends.
- Security and delivery logs: only for the period needed by the provider or to investigate a problem.
I may keep information for longer if it is needed for a legal claim, dispute or legal obligation.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, or receive it in a portable format. Where use is based on consent, you can withdraw that consent.
To make a request, email hello@urlbefine.co.uk. I may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Complaints
Please contact me first so I can try to resolve the issue. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Automated decisions
I do not use your information to make solely automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects.

I may update this notice when the website, suppliers or legal requirements change. The latest version and its update date will remain on this page.
